Until 2016, Cairanne could only label their wines Cotes du Rhone Villages. Now, since February 2016, Cairanne have been award ‘Cru’ status. The newest of the Villages appellations produces wines of a similar standard to those of neighbouring Gigondas and Rasteau. The wines from here tend to offer great value.
This is a wine made from 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre. This is a classic Southern Rhone red. Lots of elegant, lifted floral aromas alongside a deep and structured body, smooth tannins and fresh acidity. Complex with a very fine and long finish. Exceptional value from the Arnoux family.
