Armagnac is the oldest spirit produced in France, dating back to the 14th century. It can only be produced in the Armagnac region in Gascony, Southwest France.
There are 3 distinct regions: Bas Armagnac, Ténarèze and Haut Armagnac.
Baron Gaston Legrand is produced with grapes grown in the Bas-Armagnac, the region that produces the most prestigious Armagnacs.
