Their winery in Naoussa was the Boutari company’s first when it started out in 1879.
The company’s role in the history of viticulture in the Naoussa zone was decisive, both in preserving the local Xinomavro variety at a time when it had almost been entirely abandoned and in highlighting the Naoussa zone’s quality wines.
Deep red in colour with bright hues, it produces a rich bouquet of ripe red fruit, raspberry, sun dried tomato and plum, coexisting with the aromas of cinnamon, pepper, black olives and wood. It is a wine full in body, with good balance and structure.
