Whereas Vintage port is kept in barrel for at most 2 years, Late Bottled Vintage ports (LBVs) are left in cask for substantially longer and bottled when they are ready to drink. Graham’s – who produce one of the most long-lived Vintage ports (and the most forbidding ports in youth) – happen to produce one of the most approachable LBVs on the market. This is a good introduction to fine red port wines.
