La Rasina Brunello di Montalcino 2018 offers a perfect blend of tradition and elegance. Produced from hand-picked grapes grown on the family-owned estate’s hillside vineyards, this Brunello captures the essence of Montalcino’s rich landscape.

Tasting Notes

The 2018 vintage presents a brilliant ruby-red hue with complex aromas of dark cherry, plum, and blackberry. Alongside subtle hints of tobacco, leather, and spice from extended oak barrel ageing.

On the palate, this wine is full-bodied yet refined. It features silky tannins and lively acidity that provide excellent structure and balance.

It displays layers of ripe red fruit blend seamlessly with earthy notes. This leads to a long, satisfying finish with touches of balsamic and dried herbs.

While enjoyable now, La Rasina Brunello di Montalcino 2018 is also ideal for ageing, with its depth and complexity continuing to develop over time.

This wine pairs wonderfully with rich dishes such as roast meats, game, or mature cheeses, making it a perfect choice for special occasions or fine dining.

A true reflection of Brunello’s esteemed winemaking tradition, this bottle offers a luxurious taste of Tuscany’s heritage.

Two Generations of Quality

Santi Mantengoli established La Rasina farm in the 1970s. However, it was only in the late 1980s, under the leadership of his successor Vasco, that the focus shifted towards winemaking. Since 1988, the company has concentrated more on this sector, which was rapidly developing in Montalcino.

Significant investments in both the vineyards and the winery have brought the company to where it is today. Since 1997, it has been run by Marco Mantengoli, a young wine technician, who introduced fresh ideas, modern technology, and built upon the decades of experience passed down from his father.

In the Heart of Tuscany

La Rasina covers 45 hectares, including 11 hectares of vineyards, 4 hectares of olive trees, and the remainder used for arable land.

It is situated on the north-east side of the Montalcino hill at an altitude of 350 metres above sea level.

From the farm, you can see the Val d’Orcia Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
