Louis Roederer make a relatively intense style of vintage rosé. The wine is aged for four years on the lees before disgorgement and is made with 65% Pinot Noir with the balance made up of Chardonnay. The wine drinks beautifully from the moment it is released and shows delightful fresh strawberry and raspberry fruit characteristics on the nose and the palate. First class.
It is the perfect accompaniment to smoked salmon.
