Made from 100% Organic Glera grapes in the traditional Italian method known as Charmat (aka Tank method) whereby fermentation happens twice in a sealed pressurized tank. Once the desired level of fizz is achieved, the wine is then bottled under pressure. This method is ideal for wines where drinking them young is considered optimal.
The Malibran Ruio is one of these examples, however, it holds greater complexity compared to other ‘mass market’ brands. Insofar as the freshness of fruit is delicate and rewarding with lots of green apples, peach and lemon flavours. There is also just a touch of floral aroma too. The mousse is generous yet not overwhelming. This is a top quality dry example of Italy’s most famous export.
