This is a classic expression of Rioja. It is made from a single 300 hectare vineyard on a slope with a 165 metre difference between the highest and lowest point. This allows the estate to ripen the full range of Rioja’s grapes suitably to make a typical expression of the region’s wine.
This wine is a blend of 86% Tempranillo, 8% Garnacha, 4% Mazuelo, and 2% Graciano. The wine is fermented in steel containers to retain the fresh flavours from the fruit. The wine is then aged for 18 months in American oak barrels and for 24 months in bottle before release.
This Reserva shows red and black berry notes along with tobacco, and balsamic characteristics. A classic, as I said before.
