Forty years ago in the Cafayate Valley, the Romero Marcuzzi family founded El Porvenir de Cafayate. Today, the estate is wholly managed by Lucia Romero Marcuzzi, heading up a distinguished team of talented winemakers all with a passion for innovation and regional identity.
This rosé, as the name suggests, is Lucia’s personal selection and the best expression of Malbec as a still rosé wine. Coupled with this diligent choice the wine is labelled under the ancient word for love in Quechua: Munay.
The vineyards for Lucia’s Selection are situated at 1,700 meters above sea level at Finca Rio Seco in the Cafayate Valley in Salta. The grapes selected are from just under 25 hectares of low-density vines and are harvested by hand. 18 hours pre-fermentation cold maceration followed by 25 days fermenting. No malolactic conversion has taken place nor oak ageing.
This rosé has a fruity and intense aroma of strawberry and raspberry. The palate is dry and easy-going with fresh minerally acidity.
