This whisky is from the 2009 Diageo Special Releases. The distillery is is made in flies under the radar. Only a handful of bottlings of single malt whisky distilled at Pittyvaich have been released – to general acclaim. The number of bottlings is unlikely to increase since the distillery has been inactive since 1993. This particular expression was distilled in 1989 and released at cask strength in a limited run of 6000 bottles. It is a medium-bodied malt with a complex set of aromas and flavours that include olive oil, peaches, hay, malt, grass, orange zest, milk chocolate, vanilla, cream, butter, apples and toffee.
