Plymouth Gin

Both a style and type of gin, Plymouth Gin was the only gin in the UK to have Protected Geographical Indication within the EU. Until 2017 when, Pernod Ricard, the brand owners sadly chose not to renew the PGI. Their reason being that Plymouth Gin is such an iconic brand in it’s own right that there should be no need to protect the name and style.

Thankfully, some things never change, the gin is still made in the Black Friars Distillery in Plymouth to an original recipe from 1793. It is crafted using traditional methods and 7 botanicals. Expect juniper and citrus, with warming hints of cardamon and coriander.  This delightful gin is best served neat over ice or simply with tonic and a squeeze of lime.
