The oldest established Champagne house regularly produces a wine that shows the fresh pear, citrus, and floral notes that one can obtain from fine Chardonnay and marry it to enough Pinot Noir to keep the wine approachable from release. The proportion of Meunier is kept between five and ten per cent of the blend which contributes to the age-worthiness of the wine.
