This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%) and Syrah (45%). The grapes are picked from vines at least 20 years old, de-stemmed and fermented separately in inert vessels. The wine is then racked into a mix of French (20%) and American (20%) oak barrels where it completes malolactic conversion and where it is left to mature for 7 months. The result is a wine that shows a bright colour with aromas and flavours of cherries, plums, blackberries, blackcurrant, blackcurrant leaves, and roasted coffee. It is a wine that is made to be enjoyed with grilled meats.
