Le Clos de Savignac vineyards are located on a single 3 hectare hillside plot overlooking the Mediterranean. Planted of old vine, low yielding Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre the resulting wine is matured in new and used American oak barrels for a year after blending. The best wines are blended again before bottling.
It shows a remarkable intensity on the nose with violets, roast coffee, blackcurrant and coconut.
This wine has plenty of staying power and will develop for at least 10 more years after the vintage.
