The “Manoir de la Perrière” dates back to the 12th century, constructed by the Monks of Cîteaux who were the first to recognise the potential of its 5-hectare (12-acre) Clos.
Despite Fixin not having a Grand Cru designation, its exceptional climate and ideal exposure have drawn comparisons to its esteemed neighbour, Chambertin.
The nose features notes of black cherry and wild strawberries.
Ample and very fine, it offers silky tannins. Its mineral hints remind the characteristics of the soil it comes from.
The natural maturity of the fruit is balanced by the freshness of this terroir of altitude.
On the palate, the aromas are complex, with fruit, liquorice, and juniper berry.
