Champagne Germar Breton Fût de Chêne

This family have been cultivating the vineyards of Aube since the 1950s. In 1989 Laurent Breton, youngest among his brothers, together with his wife Karine Breton decided launch their own winemaking activity in the Côte des Bars area near the village of Colombé-la-Fosse.

In 2005, eager to develop their own Champagne, they decided to launch “Champagne Germar Breton”, produced and elaborated by Laurent Breton himself.

The authentic champagne par excellence, the Fût de Chêne cuvée is distinguished by its power, its elegance, and its freshness.

Its ageing in casks from harvest to bottling makes it champagne that leaves no one indifferent.

This prestige cuvée combines finesse and lightness.

Composition: 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir.

Extra-brut dosage to let the natural aromas of the wine express themselves.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

The nose is very open, intense, marked by woody, vanilla, and honeyed fragrances.

On tasting, some notes of white flowers come through, accompanied by hints of pastries, toast, dried fruit, and almond paste.

The palate is supple, ample, with a nice volume, and brings out above all the complexity of the vanilla and the acidity, a beautiful marriage, velvet in the mouth!
