Lochlea Harvest Edition (Second Crop) is a special edition single malt whisky produced in the Scottish Lowlands.

Lochlea is an independent, family-owned distillery in the heart of Ayrshire. They grow their own barley, then distil and mature their whisky onsite as part of a small, tight-knit team. Sustainability is at the heart of everything they do.

Their seasonal small batch releases showcase the signature Lochlea style in four different ways each year. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in to reflect the farming calendar.

In their Harvest Edition (Second Crop), they have carefully selected Port casks, STR barriques and first-fill Bourbon barrels to offer a deliciously different twist this year.

In comparison to Harvest Edition (First Crop), they have incorporated a much higher proportion of Port casks to enhance the whisky’s creaminess, whilst also introducing a delightful peppery spice from the STR barriques.

This Harvest Edition is the second in a new set of four limited editions designed to showcase the effects of different barrels. This whisky is inspired by the end of summer, when Lochlea’s golden barley is harvested and eventually used for the next year’s production. It’s sweet, subtle and peppery.

Harvest Edition (Second Crop) has just 11,000 bottles available globally. It sits at 46% ABV and, as with all Lochlea’s whiskies, is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.
