Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé is rich and bursting with fruity flavours, featuring intense notes of ripe strawberries and cherries. It embodies Madame Clicquot’s inventive and daring character.
In 1818, Madame Clicquot pioneered the creation of blended rosé champagne at Veuve Clicquot by adding red wine to white champagne. Over the centuries, this technique has been refined to craft the naturally vibrant rosé we enjoy today. Moreover, it ensures the quality and consistency of the house style.
This rosé is a blend of 50-60 crus from different villages. It combines Pinot Noir (50%), Meunier (20%) and Chardonnay (30%) grape varietals for a classic Champagne with a twist.
Enjoy Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé as an aperitif for special occasions, or paired with tomato-based starters and beef carpaccio.
Producer’s Tasting Notes
Colour: The robe is luminous, tinged with rosy highlights.
Nose: The Brut Rosé offers a rich aromatic profile, combining red and black fruits (cherry, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry), spices (white pepper, saffron, licorice), and pastries (biscuit, croissant). These are all enhanced by accents of toast, orange peel, and gingerbread linked to aging on lees.
Palate: A harmonious balance of freshness and structure with aromas of red fruits, biscuit, pastry, and a long, elegant finish.
