Royal Brackla 12 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is a bold and noble spirit. It matures in American oak, and then finished in the finest Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a rich, opulent taste.
Royal Brackla was the first Scotch whisky ever granted a Royal Warrant, by King William IV in 1833. It stands proudly on the Cawdor Estate, a historic residence linked with Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and operates at a capacity of 4,000,000 litres a year. This latest expression demonstrates why the royal title is still deserved!
The distillery’s style is opulent and fruity with rich sherried notes. Every expression of Royal Brackla is finished in the finest first-fill sherry casks. Master distillers source them directly from Spain to ensure a sophisticated outcome for a noble drink.
The full bodied spice of Oloroso and the bright summer breeze of Royal Brackla elegantly combine as a smooth and inviting dram – ripe peaches, black cherries, chocolate covered almonds and muscovado sugar. The finish is then sweet, subtle and nutty.

Producer’s Tasting Notes
Nose: Sherried fruit cake, buttered malt loaf, and stone fruits.
Palate: Peaches, dried apricots, dark berries, and cherries mingle with caramelised nuts, chocolate raisins, brown sugar, and baking spices.
Finish: Wafts of sweet, tangy oak, sugared fruit, then almonds.
