Lochlea Ploughing Edition (First Crop) is a special edition single malt whisky produced in the Scottish Lowlands.

Lochlea is an independent, family-owned distillery in the heart of Ayrshire. They grow their own barley, then distil and mature their whisky onsite as part of a small, tight-knit team. Sustainability is at the heart of everything they do.

Their seasonal small batch releases showcase the signature Lochlea style in four different ways each year. As a working farm, these expressions tie in to reflect the farming calendar.

Lochlea’s first peated expression, matured in ex-Islay barrels and peated quarter casks, is inspired by winter on the farm, when farmers plough the fields in preparation for spring.

They have created a warming, smoky version of their signature Lochlea whisky, with an icy blue label that reflects the cold and frosty Ayrshire winters.

Between 1777 and 1784, Robert Burns lived and worked on Lochlea Farm. As a result, Lochlea launched this whisky on Burns Night 2023 in his honour.

Like all Lochlea whisky, this is non-chill filtered and natural in colour.

Enjoy Lochlea Ploughing Edition (First Crop) neat or on the rocks.
