Maker’s Mark Star Hill Farm American Whisky is a beautifully smooth wheat whisky from the iconic distillers of Maker’s Mark Kentucky bourbon. Crafted under the guidance of master distiller Blake Layfield, this groundbreaking inaugural annual release celebrates nature’s role in whisky-making, focusing on wheat, wood, and water.
This inaugural release is a marriage of two mash bills: one featuring 70% soft red winter wheat and 30% malted barley, and the other made from 100% malted soft red winter wheat. It’s the first Maker’s Mark whisky to forgo corn entirely, making its signature style of wheat the star of the show. All the wheat is locally sourced from within a 60-mile radius. The packaging also uses natural cork and a recycled paper label. A highly sustainable dram!
Expect a smooth, rich profile with layers of sweet grain, soft spice, and gentle oak influence.
