The cuvée “Les Jardins du Mesnil” is made from a variety of small plots located in Mesnil-sur-Oger.
This blend reflects the diverse soils of the hillside, each with its own structure, elevation, and exposure to sunlight. All the plots face directly east.
The cuvée is created from a careful selection of our vineyards, including those in the plains like Les Hautes Mottes and Les Coullemets, as well as from low-yielding plots at the heart of the terroir. These include Les Coullemets du Midi, Les Finciarts, Les Vaucherots, Les Hauts d’Aillerand, Les Musettes, and the higher slopes.
Grape Variety – 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru – Le Mesnil sur Oger.
Winemaking –
Blend: Base Wine Harvest 2018 (60%) and Solera “Les Jardins du Mesnil” (40%)
Barrel Fermentation: 60% fermented in 228-liter oak barrels
Tank Fermentation: 40% of the wine is fermented in tanks on fine lees
Bottling: July 2019
