Château du Breuil 15 Year Old Calvados is a Pays D’Auge AOC regulation Calvados. Made from apples in the same kind of stills used in the production of fine malt whisky, this is truly one to savour.
It blends bitter and bittersweet apple varieties including Bisquets, Bedan, Petit Joly and St Martin. A small amount of pear juice also lends elegance and depth.
After a meticulous double distillation process, this brandy is aged in oak casks for at least 15 years before blending and bottling. The cellar manager personally controls it for quality during its lengthy aging period.
It combines fresh apple flavours with the caramel, bakery and nutty characteristics that are so sought after in this fine style of brandy. Following this is the gentle tannin characteristic of a fine Calvados. This is a rich and voluptuous brandy of great depth and length.
Overall, an authentic Calvados in the proud Norman tradition. Awarded many times for its outstanding quality, this is one for newbies and connoisseurs alike.
