Cotswold Signature Single Malt Whisky is a beautifully smooth whisky produced in England using traditional methods.
The first whisky ever made in the Cotswolds, the award-winning Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky is crafted using the finest locally grown, traditionally floor-malted Cotswold barley. Producers mash the barley and ferment it for four days before being distilling it twice in the distillery’s bespoke copper pot stills.
Belonging to their Classics Collection, the Signature Single Malt favours the rich and bold, fruity notes. These result from maturation in their highly active STR (Shaved, Toasted and Re-charred) ex-red wine barrels.
Blended with whisky matured in premium first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels, this single malt has notes of honey, red fruits and a hint of treacle.
Enjoy this unique and intriguing whisky neat or with a splash of water to fully unlock its complex flavour profile.
Tasting Notes
Nose: The first thing you notice are spicy cereal notes, malt and porridge. Then comes the fruit – orange peel and lemon. Grassy and floral flavours followed by marzipan.
Palate: Beautiful texture, creamy and round, with sweet citrus fruit and then some black pepper.
Finish: Good length. There’s vanilla custard and a lift of aromatic freshness that will make you want another sip.
