From Champagne Lété-Vautrain comes the brand-new Echo Brut Blanc de Noirs Millésimé 2019, a beautifully rich bubbly made from Meunier and Pinot Noir. The grapes originate from the prestigious Grand Cru vineyards of Verzenay.
This Blanc de Noirs utilises 75% Meunier and 25% Pinot Noir, and clocks in at a very dry and refreshing 2g/L of sugar.
The story of Champagne Lété-Vautrain begins in 1968 in Château-Thierry, when Robert Lété and his wife Liliane Vautrain founded the family business. Over the years, they planted small plots of vines on their original 0.4 hectare plot. The vineyard gradually grew to its current 7.5 hectares. Their daughter Michèle and son Frédéric took over the business and further developed the vineyard.
Enjoy Echo Brut Blanc de Noirs Millésimé 2019 well chilled as an aperitif. It also shines alongside charcuterie, Pata Negra ham,
pressed cooked cheeses (especially aged Morbier), venison and other
game terrines.
Producer’s Tasting Notes
Colour: an elegant golden straw-deep golden robe.
Nose: a woody bouquet with smoky notes enhanced by its wild elegance.
Palate: a vivacious lingering in the mouth blending Meunier and a touch of Pinot Noir. Aromas ranging from cherries to brandy, baked apple, vanilla and tarte Tatin with a creamy, brioche and slightly woody base.
