This is the highest scoring rum ever sampled by the Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago. It has won awards and admirers the world over & is made with rums aged for between 21 and 25 years in 46 gallon casks. It is magnificent – although fairly demanding and not necessarily a choice pick for the rum novice.
Tasting Notes: Nose of mocha, toffee, tobacco, and dark spices. The mouth is velvety smooth with full body of tropical fruits, coffee, leather, and rich toffee. The Finish is nutty and smoky.
