Herradura Añejo is a high-quality aged tequila produced in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico.

Blending modern and traditional distilling techniques, this Añejo Tequila was first introduced to the world by Casa Herradura in 1962. The estate’s grounds house some 16 species of fruit trees. Their natural airborne yeast strains aid the tequila’s fermentation here.

Since then Herradura Añejo has aged in American White Oak barrels for 25 months – an incredible 13 months beyond industry standards.

The result is a remarkably smooth, amber-coloured liquid that melts on your tongue. It leaves behind notes of cooked agave, toasted oak and dried fruit. The smooth palate displays further cooked agave and dried fruit flavours that then lead into a smooth, creamy finish.

This Casa’s tequila’s signature taste is spicy, herbaceous and complex. It’s a typical example of a lowland-style tequila derived from the 100% hand-harvested blue weber agave grown in the volcanic lowland region where the Casa sits.

It won Golds at the coveted International Wine and Spirit Competition, as well as the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, both in 2006.

Enjoy Herradura Añejo neat or on the rocks. It also shines as part of your favourite tequila-based cocktails like margaritas or palomas for a spicy and herbaceous twist.
