The Highland Park 18 Year Old London Edition No.1 is a release of only 644 bottles and the latest expression of the Highland Park Single Cask Series.
It was distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2021. It matured in a refill sherry-seasoned European oak casks, typical of the distillery’s style. Bottled at a bold cask strength of 58.8% ABV, it delivers remarkable intensity and complexity.
The specific cask, labelled as #4627, was selected by Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion.
It has flavours of pears, aniseed, vanilla, melon, nutmeg, sweet spice and then Highland Park’s distinctively subtle and gentle peat.

Tasting Notes

Palate: Orchard fruits mingle with soft honey, creamy toffee, and understated oak spice. Waves of aromatic peat smoke emerge, balanced by a saline edge and then hints of briny depth.
Finish: Long and evolving, with a dry, smoky tail accented by bittersweet dark chocolate.
