The Voyatzi Estate is a premier boutique winery in the picturesque town of Velvento, Western Macedonia.
Winemaker Yannis Voyatzi runs it alongside his brother Nikos.
Today, the Voyatzi Estate Vineyard covers about 40 hectares. It is situated at 340 metres on the lush northeast to south slope of the Pieria Mountains, near Lake Polyfytos.
Velvento’s continental climate, influenced by the nearby lake, exposes the area to constant winds. These help bring the estate’s grapes to balanced ripeness, contributing to different wine expressions.
The vineyard’s soils, composed of diverse sandy-loam and clay components, are worked organically to maintain the natural terroir.
This vintage showcases the unique character of the Xinomavro grape, offering a vibrant blend of bold flavours, excellent concentration, and balanced acidity.
The wine presents a complex aroma profile with notes of ripe red berries, subtle spices, and earthy undertones.
Crafted with meticulous care by winemaker Yannis Voyatzi and his team, Ktima Voyatzi Xinomavro 2021 reflects the rich terroir of the Pieria Mountains and the expert craftsmanship of the Voyatzi family.
