Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength is the 13th expression of the superb Laphroaig Cask Strength. The Batch 13 appears at 57.9% ABV.
The iconic Laphroaig distillery boasts whiskies with a distinctively peaty nose, made in their home of Islay.
Distillers bottle Original Cask Strength Laphroaig at natural distillery strength with all the depth of genuine taste and texture normally associated with sampling whisky at source.
This Laphroaig is seasoned in Ex-Bourbon oak barrels, charred before filling, to impart a slight sweet vanilla nuttiness. Original Cask Strength Laphroaig is barrier-filtered only slightly. This removes the small char particles present. This means you will enjoy Laphroaig exactly as we made it.
In extremes of temperature and when you add water it may appear a little cloudy – this is the natural condition of a malt of such a peaty pungency and uncompromising purity. Peat smoke, heather, and sea salt are this blend’s heroes, providing the necessary character for a full-on proof point that is sure to please.
