This series of rare and collectable aged whiskies celebrate the story of Ian Hunter, the last of the Johnston family to own and manage the Laphroaig distillery. The latest release, Laphroaig 34 Year Old – The Ian Hunter Story – Book 4, celebrates him as the Malt Master, honouring his legacy of establishing the malting floors and the impact they still make on the taste of Laphroaig today.

Each whisky is set in a beautifully crafted book which documents a section of Ian’s legacy, honouring his legendary distilling career.

This 34-year-old single malt was carefully crafted from Laphroaig’s own floor-malted barley. It then aged in the American White Oak casks and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. It’s a tawny, polished mahogany in colour with a sweet, peaty palate.

Enjoy Laphroaig 34 Year Old – The Ian Hunter Story – Book 4 neat or over ice to appreciate the depth of its flavour.

Finish: A long, ashy finish with notes of woodsmoke lingering.
