Lionel Osmin & Apothicaire de l’Armagnac Folle Blanche 2005 is a delightfully fruity and silky Armagnac made to a traditional recipe.

Lionel Osmin aim to highlight the original Armagnac grape varieties (10 possible in the appellation) and give each of their cuvées a clean and authentic style typical of the South West of France.

The eaux-de-vie from the L’Apothicaire de l’Armagnac collection are single varietal.

Their alcoholic strengths are not reduced and they are not artificially coloured and are sulphite-free.

There is also no blending between different years, to keep the identity and uniqueness of each Armagnac.

This particular expression is deliciously silky, balanced and complex. It displays a gentle pressure on the palate.

The first nose of the Apothicaire de l’Armagnac Folle Blanche 2005 presents nuances of prunes, dried fruit and fruit bread after the first riddling.  Notes of aging in barrels join the fruity components of the bouquet as well as more fruity and balsamic nuances. The finish is then pleasantly persistent and remains silky.

Enjoy Lionel Osmin Apothicaire de l’Armagnac Folle Blanche neat at room temperature, preferably in a bowl-shaped or tulip glass. It pairs beautifully with a trifle of bananas in a glass, a peach and passion fruit dessert or a yoghurt and elderflower ice cream with lemon balm.
