Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt is a deliciously mellow, honeyed Scotch whisky, perfect for all your mixed drinks.
Originally, there were 3 single malt components that made up Monkey Shoulder’s smooth, malty and fruity character. These were The Balvenie, Glenfiddich and Kininvie. Nowadays the recipe is a closely guarded secret, featuring an undisclosed combination of ‘different’ Speyside single malts.
Matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks and blended in small batches for up to 6 months, then married to achieve a smoother, richer taste before bottling, this is a truly versatile whisky.
Enjoy Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt as it was designed: in mixed drinks like a whisky ginger or an old fashioned.
Producer’s Tasting Notes
Nose: Zesty orange, vanilla, honey and spiced oak.
Palate: Mellow vanilla with spicy hints.
Finish: Medium length, spicy oak and a hint of peppermint on the tail.
