This is the archetypal French dry white vermouth. It is still made today in a way very similar to when the company first started production in 1850s. It is made partly from Picpoul de Pinet and Clairette for the wines which are aged in barrel and later used to macerate a large number of botanical ingredients including chamomile, bitter orange peel, nutmeg, gentian, coriander, and cloves.
