Ruinart Second Skin packaging celebrates this fine champagne house’s sustainably focused winemaking methods. Wrapped in a new type of paper skin made from responsibly farmed trees, it contains no plastic.
The fill is the much loved traditional Champagne Ruinart Blanc de Blancs.
Ruinart are especially proud of the quality of the Chardonnay grapes they use in their wines. As a result the Blanc de Blancs is the house’s flagship wine. The quality of this wine is particularly high and it shows precisely what the style of wine is capable of: linear, and citrus-led in its youth and quite age-worthy showing dried fruit and nutty characteristics provided it is kept carefully in the cellar.
Enjoy Ruinart Second Skin as an aperitif on special occasions, or paired with fresh shellfish.
Colour: Visually, the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs has a brilliant robe with a beautiful pale yellow color and slight hints of almond green and jade green reflections.
Nose: The first nose reveals intense aromas of fresh fruit: ripe lemon, juicy pear, or freshly picked peach. The secondary aromas are more floral with hints of white flowers, accompanied by a spicy touch combining ginger and pink peppercorns.
Palate: Balancing tension with roundness, the enveloping structure is highlighted by fresh aromas of ripe citrus and tropical fruit. With a long and delicate finale.
