Siete Misterios Doba-Yej Mezcal is a unique and exciting artisan Mezcal made at a distinguished distillery using natural methods.
Los Siete Misterios was born from the mission to preserve the passion, traditions, and culture embodied in Mezcal production.
Eduardo and Julio Mestres, spent decades sampling Mezcal from villages across their native Mexico. Local Maestros Mezcaleros use methods passed down through generations to produce authentic, super-premium Mezcal.
They partnered with these families and created their own distillery to collaborate and produce traditional Mezcal.
Los Siete Misterios is a family created by the Maestros Mezcaleros, and for the Oaxacan communities to share their dedication to Mezcal and the Mexican Spirit.
Siete Misterios Doba-Yej utilises the delicious agave Espadin.
Harvested only when fully mature, the agave piñas undergo a traditional process, starting with cooking in stone-lined pits. Subsequently, distillers hand-mill the cooked piñas with a wooden mallet or through a horse-drawn tahona.
This tequila is complex and balanced with a smooth and smoky flavour intertwined with notes of caramel and citrus oil, as well as fresh herbs. A great example of traditional techniques married with modern refinement.
