Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin uses some of the world’s rarest and most intriguing citrus.
It’s a naturally distilled and masterfully blended spirit, which balances bright and zesty with subtly sweet and blends enticingly rich with delicately spiced. This then results in a refreshingly distinctive and beautifully aromatic gin.
This is an exquisitely blended juniper-forward gin that results in a beautifully aromatic spirit with a unique taste. To find the right combination of citrus, the team went to visit a long time supplier in Portugal. They investigated a collection of over 360 citrus plants. They sampled dozens and took a handful home to begin recipe development.
It expertly balances bright and zesty notes of Buddha’s Hand with enticingly rich notes of Natsu Dai Dai, then subtly sweetened with Hirado Buntan. Unripened Seville oranges and grapefruit also add a delicious tang.
The Silent Pool distillery lies in the North Downs in Surrey, near a reputedly haunted lake. They make their gin using a vintage wood-fired steam boiler and locally-sourced botanicals, experimenting with a wide range of recipes to create fine and rare gins.
Serve Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin over ice with your favourite tonic. Garnish with a twist of grapefruit or a generous spritz of kaffir lime liquid garnish.
