This annual limited edition starts its maturation journey in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, which impart a base of soft vanilla and honey. It then undergoes further enhancement through longer finishing in 30-year-old hand-selected Matusalem Oloroso Sherry casks, exclusive to The Dalmore, sourced from the Gonzalez Byass bodega in Spain.

Placing these casks near the cold, damp floor and walls of the dunnage warehouses at The Dalmore Distillery allows this whisky to reach its full potential, resulting in an exceptionally unique single malt with a rich, deep chocolate character.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Aroma: Vanilla, dark chocolate, English marmalade, and sweet liquorice.

Palate: Chocolate raisins, citrus fruits, rich coffee, nutmeg, and spice.

Finish: Stewed fruits and toffee.
