X MUSE Blended Barley Vodka, pronounced ‘Tenth Muse’, is the first blended vodka to be produced in Scotland. The producers draw on history and experience, employ craft and new methods. They blend heritage barley and the purest water to produce a delicious vodka of the richest, deepest character and qualities.
It uses two types of Scottish barley, Plumage Archer and Maris Otter.
Distilled separately, these are then blended in precise quantities with water drawn from an ancient aquifer at Scotland’s Bonnington Estate to create a smooth and complex flavour.
This vodka takes its name from a sculpture by Ian Hamilton Finlay at Jupiter Art Land, a sculpture park in Edinburgh founded by Nicky and Robert Wilson which has inspired the drink. The bottle design, meanwhile, is reminiscent of the iconic landform by Charles Jencks that frames the beautiful water source. It is a place that celebrates elemental harmony and balance.
