This wine gets amazing scores and should merely be described as an outstanding wine in one of the finest vintages for port in the last century and a half. Comprising of 40% Touriga Nacional, 31% Touriga Franca, 23% rare very old ‘field’ blend and 6% Sousao from Quintas: dos Malvedos providing floral, mint and cassis notes; do Tua bringing black cherry, concentration and texture: das Lages contributing complexity and elegance; da Vila Velha;  supplying colour, violets and dark chocolate; and finally, do Vale de Malhadas giving coffee notes and tannins. Perfectly rounded and immensely complete. Will reward considerable patience.
