Shielded by the Montserrat Mountains to the north and the Littoral range to the south, the Vilarnau winery is located close to the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona. At 250 metres above sea level, it is a Mediterranean climate.
The Garnacha and Pinot Noir grapes used to make this cava are grown in Vilarnau’s own vineyards near the winery and give this delicious pink fizz a bright redcurrant colour, and vibrant ripe strawberry and raspberry fruit characters.
Aged for 18 months prior to disgorgement, it is soft and juicy in character with refreshing balanced acidity – the perfect aperitif.
The vineyards were certified as fulfilling Organic Viticulture standards in 2015, which implies the highest possible degree of respect for the biodiversity of the local flora and fauna.
