The Bowmore Timeless series is designed to celebrate the distillery’s legacy: for over 240 years Bowmore has been creating whisky on Islay. A collection ‘crafted and shaped by time’ brings together a balance of smoke, exotic fruit and sea salt. Bowmore whisky boasts these flavours as characteristic of the distinctive house style.
This 27-year old single malt matured carefully in Sherry and Bourbon casks for 15 years. Then, distillers carefully moved it to first-fill Oloroso butts. Here it remained for 12 years, only to be released once at its best and considered a worthy legacy.
It arrives in a very stylish box alongside an actual hourglass, highlighting the timelessness of this rare whisky.

Breathe In: Fruity cooked plums and prune jam. Corinth raisins and sultana notes with a strong Oloroso influence. Toffee and maple syrup, liquorice, grilled orange peel and smoked seaweed.
Sip:Â Tobacco, rich cocoa and the warming Islay peat smoke
Savour: A long finish with scented burnt wood notes, dry fruits and then a touch of frankincense.
