The Kaesler Stonehorse Shiraz is a bold, expressive wine from the Barossa Valley, one of Australia’s most famous wine regions.

The renowned Kaesler winery produces this Shiraz, showcasing the rich heritage and meticulous attention to detail that defines the winery, resulting in a wine full of character and complexity.

Kaesler own just over 37 hectares (92 acres) of vineyards in the Barossa Valley, most of which feature old vines planted in 1893, 1899, 1930, and the 1960s.

They hand-pick and hand-prune the fruit, keeping irrigation to a minimum.

Most years, they thin the crops to reduce yields and enhance flavour. They keep individual blocks separate until the final blending.

Visually, the Stonehorse Shiraz has a deep ruby colour, with hints of garnet around the edges. This shows its intensity and potential for ageing.

On the nose, the wine is immediately captivating. It offers an enticing mix of dark fruits like blackberries, plums, and ripe cherries.

Layers of spice and earthy undertones complement these fruity aromas. As you explore further, you can detect subtle hints of vanilla, mocha, and sweet tobacco, thanks to its time in oak barrels.

The aroma is rich and layered, drawing you in with its complexity.
