Bodega Staphyle IRIS Doble Torrontés is a bright and refreshing Argentinian white wine from the region’s signature grape variety, Torrontés. Renowned for its light, aromatic quality and moderate acidity, Torrontés almost always exhibits a dry style with a lean and even saline finish.
Bodega Staphyle was born of the Porretta’s family dream to produce their wines. This all started in 2002 when the family rebuilt their winery that had originally been built in the 1930s.
Today this boutique winery marries that tradition with the latest in wine making technology to produce harmonious wines. They operate 60 hectares of land planted with 35-year-old vines of both Argentinian and international grape varieties.
The vineyards are located in the area of Ugarteche and Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, known as one of the first wine regions of Argentina.
The Bodega Staphyle IRIS Doble Torrontés is lemon yellow in colour with green hints. It displays aromas of chamomile, melon, orange blossom, white roses and jasmine and is fresh with crisp acidity. The finish is subtly savoury.
Enjoy this refreshing wine as an aperitif, or pair it with crisp seafood dishes and lemon-dressed salads. It also shines alongside Thai cuisine due to its aromatic quality.
