Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Year Old is a true expression of their Master Blender’s craft and passion.
Appleton Estate began its rum journey over 270 years ago in the Nassau Valley. It boasts a rare landscape of cone-like limestone hill formations, caves and underground water sources. These are perfect for creating deliciously pure rums which reflect the spirit of Jamaica.
The rare, golden rums that make up Rare Blend are hand-selected, and have all been aged for a minimum of 12 years. This bestows upon Appleton its mahogany hue, bold character and taste which invite favourable comparison to the world’s finest cognacs and scotches.
The long years of tropical ageing give this rum its rich mahogany hue, confident woody character, and smooth robust taste. These all make a bold statement of extraordinary quality. Notes of tropical fruit, hazelnuts butterscotch and molasses first appear. Complementing these are creamy vanilla, freshly ground coffee and bright orange zest. All these together form this masterful rum. It then has a long finish with creaking oak and exotic spice.
