Artfully aged in Kentucky hillside rack-houses then bottled at a smooth 40% ABV, the sophisticated taste of Basil Hayden remains true to the old family recipe.

A light, refined Kentucky Bourbon from 6th-generation Jim Beam Master Distiller, Frederick “Booker” Noe, it showcases all the classic traits of a Bourbon with finesse and subtlety.

This small batch Bourbon is a relatively mild 80 proof. With more Rye than a traditional Bourbon and its trademark spicy finish, Basil Hayden is easy to enjoy straight or in a classic cocktail.

Basil Hayden boasts aromas of spice, tea and a hint of peppermint. It is light in body, spicy with a gentle bite. The finish is dry, clean and gentle.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Colour: Golden brown.

Nose: Charred oak and sweet notes of vanilla caramel with hints of dried fruit.

Palate: Charred oak flavour that is complemented with sweet brown sugar, a touch of black pepper, and dried fruit to round it out.

Finish: A pleasant, lingering charred oak finish with a touch of dried fruit.
