The Linkwood distillery sits in Elgin, and the majority of its whisky production is used for blending, notably in Johnnie Walker.
There have been quite a number of independent bottlings in recent times.
This Linkwood was distilled in 2010. It was initially matured in a hogshead then finished in a Pedro Ximenez cask.

Initial spice and apricot jelly aromas with vanilla and nutmeg developing in time.
A balanced palate of orange liqueur, dark chocolate and marzipan all rolled in a layer of oak and cinnamon, finishing alongside apricots and clove.
