Viñas del Vero Blecua DO Somontano is a beautifully rich red blend hailing from one of Spain’s most beautiful wine regions.
Producers choose the eight best sites at the vineyard for Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Syrah and Merlot to produce the grapes that will create Blecua.
Located in different areas of Somontano, these vineyards display intriguingly different micro-climates. This means that they all produce different fruit, with different characteristics and greater complexity.
Work in these vineyards is carried out solely by hand, with the utmost care and constant monitoring. The producers ensure that each vineyard is always harvested separately. Workers take care to pick each bunch at its optimum moment of ripeness.
Spectacular deep cherry colour with violet nuances. Complex and intense on the nose, it exhibits elegant aromas from ageing in oak barrels. Complementing these are black fruit, menthol, liquorice and then fig. Full bodied and well structured, its fruity richness stands out along with toasted wood and spice notes. This is a wine that is delicious for drinking on release. However, it will continue to improve in the bottle for many years.
