Although the family estate was formed as recently as 1948, documents show that the Povero family has been growing vines and making wine since 1837.

Today, the founder Bartolomeo’s grandchildren run the estate.

They produce the wines sustainably, using no chemical fertilisers or herbicides. Solar energy powers the winery, and water is drawn from its own ancient well.

The name Moscato derives from the Greek word “moskhos”, denoting fragrant, sweet grapes, whose smell recalls musk.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

The colour is straw yellow with golden reflections and the perlage is fine and persistent. The flavour is sweet and fruity, typical of Moscato.

A myriad of aromas come out brightly from the glass, including sage, orange peel, pear, apricot, honey, roses, and orange blossom.
