Caves de Juliénas-Chaintré Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru aux Quarts is a delightfully rich and fruity white Burgundy from the lovely village of Pouilly-Fuissé.
This wine hails from the Maconnais region of Burgundy, a southern appellation of the area known for its great value white wines.
The grapes for this wine were harvested both manually and mechanically, then direct pressed and settled. Fermentation took place at low temperatures. Then, the wine was aged on fine lees in 100% oak barrels for twelve months.
Enjoy Caves de Juliénas-Chaintré Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru aux Quarts with fish tartare or Christmas poultry. It also shines with creamy sauces.
Producer’s Tasting Notes
This Pouilly Fuissé immediately seduces with elegant notes of white-fleshed fruit with a dominant peach and pear accent, with buttered and brioche notes. The palate is ample, generous on intense fruity and gourmet flavours. Opulence and grace are essential for this cuvée. You can age the wine for five to ten years to allow for the development of rich honeyed notes.
Appearance: Brilliant yellow gold with fine bronze reflections.
Nose: Intense and expressive with fruity and brioche notes and then a touch of vanilla.
Palate: Perfectly balanced between the freshness of the fruit and the round and ample material. Harmony and voluptuousness dominate for this Pouilly-Fuissé.
